On June 17-20, 2018, Matthew R. Plain will be presenting at the 2018 National Charter Schools Conference. His topic, “The Road to Hell is Paved with Good Intentions: Latent Legal Threats” will discuss how well-intentioned efforts at quality or actors with bad intent have slowly limited independence and innovation of charter schools and created latent legal issues even in the best chartering environments.
