Zachary Lyons and Barton Gilman’s New Immigration Practice Featured in Law360 Article

Zachary Lyons and Barton Gilman’s new immigration practice were featured in the Law360 Article “Barton Gilman Launches Nationwide Immigration Practice” on May 23.

An immigration lawyer since graduating from Roger Williams University School of Law, Zach most recently worked at his own firm, Lyons Law PC, and focused on immigration law with services in both English and Spanish. He said he was drawn to Barton Gilman because the firm offers the support and resources of a larger firm with a widening geographic footprint, while maintaining the culture and community of a smaller firm.

“The fact that Barton Gilman is expanding their jurisdictional footprint to different offices in different states, I felt like was something I could offer to potential clients – that I have an office that I can meet you in if you need an in-person meeting in Philadelphia, or New York, or in Boston, [or] Connecticut. I felt like that was an appealing value that I could offer to my clients, as well as the sort of backing and structure and resources of a larger firm,” said Zach.

With an immigration practice that covers a range of areas and issues, Zach stated that he is looking forward to growing his employment-based immigration practice. “There’s a lot of people…in this country who are trying to set up a business and achieve the American Dream through their employment, or through setting up a business.” He said he is particularly excited about working with entrepreneurs. “It’s people who want to come and set up a business here and remain here. That excites me because I consider myself to be an entrepreneur, and so I identify with the struggles of being an entrepreneur.”
