Steven Gerber and Paul T. O’Neill Selected for 2025 New York Metro Super Lawyers List

Steven Gerber and Paul T. O’Neill have been selected for the 2025 New York Metro Super Lawyers list. Super Lawyers recognizes top attorneys who have demonstrated excellence in their areas of practice. Attorneys are selected through a rigorous process that includes independent research, peer nominations, and peer evaluations. Only up to five percent of attorneys in each state earn a spot on the list, based on their professional accomplishments and peer recognition.

Steve was recognized for his outstanding work in Employment & Labor, marking his 13th consecutive year on the Super Lawyers list. With over 30 years of experience, he focuses his practice on management-side employment and labor law, particularly litigation and arbitration. In addition, he handles complex commercial disputes, tort defense litigation, and internal investigations. Steve represents a diverse client base across numerous industries, including healthcare (hospitals, research centers, and in-patient/out-patient therapy providers), education (ranging from private and public secondary schools to colleges and universities), senior care (including skilled nursing, assisted living, and independent living facilities), and sectors such as transportation, logistics, retail, manufacturing, financial services, pharmaceuticals, government entities, and nonprofit organizations and foundations.

Paul was named to the list for his work in School and Education law. A nationally recognized authority on education reform, Paul co-chairs the firm’s Education Law group, representing charter, public, and vocational schools, as well as students and professionals in all areas of school law. He also counsels clients on state and federal laws affecting students with disabilities. Earlier in his career, Paul served as General Counsel to the SUNY Charter Schools Institute and later held senior leadership roles at EdisonLearning, where he helped lead post-Katrina efforts to rebuild public education in New Orleans.
